bGreen lifestyle + building provides the latest green and eco-friendly products for everyday living, construction & renovation.  Started in July 2009 by Barry Greenstein and Lee Schneider, bGreen is becoming the main source for green and eco friendly products for homeowners. 


There are two components to bGreen - a vibrant online store for lifestyle products and the bGreen Mobile Showroom building products.  The bGreen website, http://www.bgreenlifestyle.com, offers the latest environmentally friendly products for every day living, ranging from stainless steel water bottles to biodegradable trash bags to custom briefcases made locally in Massachusetts using reclaimed fabric and leathers.

The bGreen Mobile Showroom showcases the best green and eco friendly building materials available.  The bGreen mobile showroom is complete with cork and bamboo floors, eco friendly counter tops, wall coverings, and lighting.  bGreen aims to deliver green living to the broader population and educate them on available eco friendly home products.  bGreen works with a talented team, including LEED certified contractors and designers specializing in green design, to bring a service component to the building business as well.

Who is bGreen?

Barry Greenstein, Co-Founder

For 10 years, Barry spent his time working his way up the corporate ladder. His roles included, but were not limited to: marketing for a top Boston agency, IT manager, radio station intern, wedding/bar mitzvah DJ, errand boy, company lunch organizer, and camp counselor. While he enjoyed all his roles, he knew the right place for him was a launching a company of his own. After taking time to search for the right opportunity, he realized it was right in front of him. The chores his girlfriend suggested (i.e made) him do, such as carry recyclables home from a walk, use a Klean Kanteen, and always carry reusable bag, were solid grounds for a business idea. They, as we say at bGreen, were Barry's gateway drug. He partnered with his long time friend, Lee Schneider, and together formed bGreen in July 2009. Barry lives in Boston's North End with his girlfriend, Leah, and bGreen mascot Maggie T. Dog.

Lee Schneider, Co-Founder

Lee was that guy at camp that spent more time in woodworking than at the beach. Almost 20 years later, that passion for building and materials led Lee to co-found bGreen with Barry. While Barry runs the day-to-day of bGreen, Lee works behind the scenes to make sure the bGreen bucks are where they should be and helps plan bGreen's next moves. In addition to bGreen, for the past 8 years Lee has worked at a Boston-based investment management firm, honing his finance and business skills. Lee remains an avid fan of This Old House, The New Yankee Workshop, and HGTV. He lives in Boston's South End with his wife, Elyssa.
